Baozi is also known as steamed pork buns or steamed filled buns. Elaine is to show you how to fold baozi at home.

Prepare the wrapper and the filling. Place the wrapper in your left hand. Place 1 ~2 tablespoon of the filling in the center of your wrapper (depending on the size of the wrapper).

Fix the starting point with the thumb of right hand and begin to fold the edge counterclockwise.

Move the thumb slowly in the process.

Repeat the steps to seal the baozi completely.

Then we have the cute baozi folded.

    I’m a bit stuck at the moment.

    I don’t think you have worded your instructions properly and that you could include more pictures or even better. A video to show how you fold baozi, because I find it challenging to follow these instructions.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion, I found it is quite hard for me to describe the steps in words. I will upload a video after the trip to Shanghai. If you cannot make it pretty, just seal them and you are ok with the buns.
