Hi, Nice to see you. I am Elaine, the owner, cook, and photographer here. I live in China now and grew up in Sichuan province. During my early childhood; I had two great cooks around: my mother and her mother.  Growing up, I traveled around China and I enjoyed the yummy dishes from many different cuisines.

The initial purpose of this blog is to introduce the dishes I cooked daily and of course, most of the dishes are Sichuan food. So I name the blog, chinasichuanfood. But it goes far beyond Sichuan cuisine as the blog continues to be popular among you, all of my dear readers.

Cooking makes me happy with a feeling of clam. I love photography too.

      Hi Elaine,
I was fortunate to be able to do an extended visit to China in 2018, and I absolutely loved Sichuan (several days in Chengdu). Your site is the first place I come for inspiration and recipes when I yearn for authentic Sichuan (and other) food from China. Thank you so much for doing this!

      Hey Elaine,

I found your website while browsing for a Chinese Scallion Pancakes recipe and China Sichuan Food came up. I must say, I hope we're doing great in SEO as much as you guys are, haha! Huge respect for your accomplishments.

We work in the same space (food industry) and recently we've been working on improving our marketing efforts. We've been thinking about doing something like affiliate marketing, podcast guesting, or content collaboration.

I think maybe there's a potential for us working together in the near future?

Thank you for your reply in advance and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Elaine, do you have a recipe for fried corn kernels? I remember having this dish in Chengdu. It was battered corn kernels quickly fried with some salt and sugar and was delicious. Do you know what it is called? Thank you!

I found your website looking for a recipe for regan mian. I spent several weeks in Wuhan in 2019, leaving in late October, just before leaving might have been a challenge! Your recipe tastes exactly like I remember regan mian from a little place that only had one thing they sold--regan mian. T

      Hello Elaine,

I just wanted to let you know that I found your website to be exactly what I was looking for. I came across your site while searching for a Chinese salad recipe, and love the simplicity of your Chinese blanched vegetable recipe. I appreciate the feature that allows me to jump directly to the recipes. Additionally, your provision of nutritional information for each recipe is a great touch and something that I find to be quite rare among blogs. As someone who values healthy eating but is short on time, your recipes are a lifesaver. Thank you for providing such a valuable resource, and I look forward to exploring more of your recipes.
