Beef Chow Mein

Chow mein is always a quick and yummy dinner. Chow mein and lo mein are the most common Chinese noodles dishes.
In most cases, I make chow mein simply with eggs but beef, chicken and pork tastes good with chow mein.

The noodles for chow meim recipes should be fried egg noodles. And after the noodles are boiled ready, rinse it under cold water and add several drops of sesame oil can help to separate the noodles from each other.

The beef slices used is marinade with salt, cooking wine and black pepper powder. The black pepper powder can help to remove the raw taste.

Beef chow mein with red and green peppers is an easy and quick dinner idea.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz beef cut into thin slices
  • 3 green peppers
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 8oz fried egg noodles
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced
  • Several drops of sesame oil
  • 1 chili red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • marinade sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon cooking wine

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into slices, drain and marinade with the marinade sauce. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Cut peppers into small pieces
  3. Heat up water in wok and rinse the egg noodles for about 4 minutes. Transfer out and rinse in cold water. Add several drops of sesame oil and mix well.
  4. Heat up cooking oil wok; add garlic slices in to stir fry until aroma. Add beef slices in to cook until the surface besides dark.
  5. Add peppers in to stir fry until soft.
  6. Add cooked noodles in. Then add light soy sauce and salt in. Mix well and turn off the fire.
  7. Add cumin powder in, mix evenly and serve with hopped spring onions.
